Meet the Medinas

We at Medina Makings are so much more than a shop with pretty and personalized items for sale. We are a family who have a big heart for each other, for others, and for high-quality creative living.

Jules and Kimberly met in Japan in 2013. Mutual friends set them up on a date- they immediately hit it off and love came quickly and easily for them. In fact, they were married within that same year! They knew adventure was calling and that that they wanted to face it all together, so when Jules’s Air Force career sent them to the other side of the world, they were more than up for the challenge! They settled into their new lives in Florida in 2016. As luck would have it, Kimberly met with the same friend that first introduced her to Jules and planned a craft night in this new place they now called home. In preparation for this night, Kimberly bought a craft machine and learned the basics. From there, she started uncovering her passion for selling small custom vinyl work and decorative signs. She did so well that she even organized larger craft nights to teach others what she was now making a business out of doing!

At the end of 2017, Jules and Kimberly welcomed their sweet son into the world. After taking time to settle into what this new and beautiful life would look like as a new little family, they realized they missed the creative outlet of the business they had been pouring so much heart into before. While Kimberly honed her craft, Jules strengthened his woodworking expertise- as his tool collection grew, so did his skill and his love for building. With their family complete and each other to lean on and grow with, Jules and Kimberly opened their doors once more with a bigger vision in mind. “Medina Makings” became official in January of 2020, and they are more excited than ever to work with customers, both new and old, to bring even more dream quality pieces to life!
